In this new book, Steve takes his versions of five classic effects and interconnects their methods and basic presentations into a seamless synergistic routine.

Each effect is explained individually--and they can all be done as stand-alone items.

Then Steve explains in detailed VIDEO instruction, how to bring them all together into the routine.

Steve has done this in the past, but this is his best effort yet, featuring his handling of:

The All Backs - a short and sweet routine that begins simply with a thought of card and single cut--but, the spectator must have imaged the BACK of the card and not the FACE. You fix this with a wave of your hands and restore the faces to the deck as you discover four Aces.

Thought Card to Pocket - An invisible card is removed from the restored deck and appears in your pocket...no, another ALL-BACKED card! You set that aside and promise to get back to it later.

Hofzinser Travelers - The produced Aces are signed and mixed so their SUIT order is unknown. A card is selected from the deck and only the suit is remembered and the VALUE is forgotten. You discard each Ace until one remains--the matching SUIT. The Ace of Hearts changes to the selected card. The signed Aces then vanish and appear in four separate pockets.

This is Steve's best version of the Travelers and brings all of his subtle ideas from earlier versions--and some new ones--into play.

Suit Production - You decide to find a simple balance and use the Ace of Hearts and selected card on one side and the Ace of Spades on the other. You decide to locate some more Hearts and Spades from the deck. You use some flourish cuts and maneuvers to do this--but, you keep getting more Spades. Eventually, you find the King of Hearts and decide to transform the Spades into the missing Heart cards. Problem solved!

All-Backer Change - You notice the all-backed card set to the side and show it. You ask the spectator what card they named at the beginning. After showing both sides you then transform the card into theirs.

This ends the full routine and you are ready for an easy rest if necessary.

However, after a short pause, you perform an encore.

Mini Match Up, Card to Box - You have the thought card signed and placed among the four signed Aces. Half the deck is cut and show to be all mismatched. You use your magic and cause all the mismatched cards to MATCH. You also find that the mismatched aces now also match. But, the signed selection is gone. It is found in the card box that has been off to the side from the start.

Each effect is direct and uses classic card moves and subtleties--more subtlety than heavy sleight of hand. It is a challenge to orchestrate these effects, but you will not have to learn NEW moves.

This is also not move after move. By blending these subtle methods, each is drawn out over a few effects: think Half Moves, but in this case, we'll call them Half-Subtleties.

If you never perform the full routine, the lessons will help you look at your magic differently. Plus, you will find each effect to be doable and worth doing.
